Boom arm folds out of sight when you are not on a call

Came from a Plantronics headset that had done years of open-plan and finally lost its hinge. This is quieter, lighter on the crown and the boom folds away so it does not look like a call centre on the school run. The app is the weak point. It wants an account, it nags about firmware, and the equaliser resets itself if you switch between the dongle and Bluetooth. Once you leave it alone the headset is faultless. Battery I have measured properly out of curiosity: five working days of roughly four hours on calls, then about 20% left. Charging is USB-C, same cable as the laptop, which is the small mercy.

Left cup now drops audio when I turn my head

The left cup started cutting out on calls somewhere around the year mark, and now it does it if I turn my head to the left. That is the whole story: the sound and the mic were both excellent until they were not. The pads have also gone hard and shiny. Disappointing at this money.
