Shares a desk bank with five other people and nobody has complained, which is the test that mattered. Set the actuation deep so it does not trigger on a rested finger and it is no louder than the membrane boards around it. The lighting is the odd disappointment. It sits under the switch rather than shining through the legend, so in a bright office you mostly see the edges glow and not the letters. Seven months on I have simply turned it off and stopped thinking about it.

Buy the board, then spend an hour undoing what its software does to the machine. GG installs an engine, a recorder and an audio tool, adds three startup entries, and puts a shortcut on the desktop for good measure. None of that is needed to use a keyboard. The good news is that everything meaningful lives on the board. Actuation depths, lighting, macros, all written to onboard slots. Configure it, save it, and then take the software off entirely: the board keeps working exactly as set, including on a machine that has never seen the app. That is the workaround rather than the fix, hence four stars. The keyboard itself has been superb, quiet on the stabilisers and accurate to a fault.

Solid enough that pressing hard in the middle produces nothing at all, no flex and no creak, which was not true of the plastic board it replaced. The only real complaint is the obvious one about a tenkeyless: I do a lot of data entry and now there is a separate pad on the desk.

The space bar died. Not intermittently, not a chatter, simply stopped registering at any actuation setting, on any machine, with the profile reset to defaults and the firmware reflashed. Every other key works perfectly. On a board that costs this much and where the switches are the entire selling point, having one fail inside a year is not something I can round up. Everything I liked about it for the first eight months was real. It just does not help me now.
