Specified this for finite element work where the previous machine simply gave up above a certain mesh size, and 128GB has moved that ceiling somewhere I have not found yet. A solve that used to run overnight on the old workstation finished during lunch. It is a slab. Nobody should buy a P16 expecting to enjoy carrying it, and the charger is the size of a paperback, so between the two the bag weight is somewhere near four kilos. That is the trade for a machine that will sit at full tilt for hours with the fans loud but steady and the palm rest still cool. The keyboard is the other reason to buy Lenovo. Proper travel, a TrackPoint I use more than expected, and a numeric pad that gets used for entering coordinates. Six weeks in and the only thing I would change is the webcam, soft in anything less than good light.
