Fast enough that the buffer stopped being a thing I think about
Wedding season on this since the spring, eight months in and the only thing I have replaced is the case it lives in

Paid work for three years now and it has never once faltered on me

Sustained write held right through a forty minute interview take
The card reader you will need is another purchase entirely
Two of these went into an R5 C for a two-camera interview shoot and neither of them so much as blinked. Forty minutes of continuous RAW on the A camera, no buffer warning, no dropped clip, and the card came out warm rather than hot. What I had not thought through was the offload. My old USB 3 reader treated it like a slow SD card and the first dump took nearly an hour, which rather undid the point of buying fast media in the first place. A proper Type B reader got that down to about twelve minutes for the same footage. Budget for one, because the card on its own is only half the story and nobody tells you that at the till.
Used for: 3–6 months
Never once dropped a frame in 8K RAW on the Z8
Bought it for the Z8 and 8K N-RAW, which the older card in there could not sustain for more than a minute before the buffer backed up. This one just keeps writing until the battery gives up. Runs warm enough that you notice it coming out of the slot, mind, but nothing alarming.
Used for: Less than a month
Slotted into a Z9 straight out of the packet, formatted in camera and shot a full card of 8K without a single stutter. The Diamond badge is not just marketing, it earns it!
