  • Product description
  • Designed for SD devices that can capture Full HD, 3D, and 4K video, as well as raw and burst photography, the 1TB Extreme PRO UHS-I SDXC Memory Card from SanDisk has a capacity of 1TB, is compatible with the UHS-I bus, and features a speed class rating of V30, which guarantees minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support the V30 standard, this card also supports the U3 standard, which likewise guarantees minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. Read speeds are supported up to 170 MB/s and write speeds max out at 90 MB/s. A built-in write-protect switch helps to safeguard against the accidental erasure of card data.

  • MLMaya L.29 July 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Been in three cameras and outlasted two of them

    Comment

This card has been through a season of junior football, a house move and a fortnight in Morocco, and the only attention it has ever needed is a format twice a year

  • CKCharlie K.27 July 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Never had to change a card mid-event

    Cons

Slower than UHS-II if you need that

    Comment

One card, a whole weekend festival, nothing to think about

  • ILIvy L.13 July 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Cons

Loses a slice of the capacity to formatting and nobody warns you

    Comment

Worth saying plainly for anyone about to panic: a 1TB card shows up as roughly 931GB in a computer and something different again in some cameras, and neither of those means you have been sold a short card. Manufacturers count in round thousands, computers count in 1024s, and the difference is the missing chunk. Beyond that the card has been exemplary. Two years of family holidays, school plays and one very muddy Scout camp, and every photo has come off it intact. It is the only card in the house I trust without thinking.

  • ALAmelia L.1 July 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Still the card that goes in the primary slot

    Cons

You do notice the write speed on long bursts of raw

    Comment

Ordinary hobby use, nothing exotic, and after 18 months there is nothing to say except that it works. No errors, no lost files, no format prompts. Cards are boring when they are good, and this one is extremely boring.

  • TLThomas L.27 June 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Two years in a dashcam that never stops writing

    Cons

Loop recording has started leaving the odd corrupt clip

    Comment

A dashcam is the cruellest thing you can do to an SD card: constant overwriting, never powered down gently, baked on a windscreen all summer and frozen all winter. This one has taken it for two years, which is longer than the three cards before it managed between them. It is starting to show, mind. Perhaps one clip in fifty now comes back with a glitch in the middle, and a health check reports a handful of reallocated blocks. That is fair wear for what it has been through rather than a fault, but if you are buying one for a dashcam, buy it knowing it is a consumable.

  • LSLouie S.21 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

The read speed on the box is the read speed I measured

    Comment

Straight out of the packet it went into a reader before anything else, because at this price I wanted to know exactly what I had bought. CrystalDiskMark gave a read figure within a couple of megabytes of the number printed on the front, which is more honest than most, and a sequential write about half that, which is exactly what the class rating on the back promises rather than the headline. That distinction catches people out constantly. The big number is read, the small one is write, and the small one is what matters when your camera is recording. Four stars only because a terabyte on UHS-I is a lot of eggs in a fairly slow basket, and I would have paid more for a UHS-II version if it existed at this capacity.

    Comment

A terabyte in a camera bag still feels like science fiction to someone who started on film

  • RGRosie G.14 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Big enough that a whole trip fits on one card

    Cons

Feels risky having everything in one place

    Comment

Juggling four small cards on Japanese trains was the thing I wanted to avoid, so I bought this before a fortnight out there. Came home with the whole trip on one card, about nine thousand photos and a pile of 4K, and it never once complained. Whether that was wise is another question.

  • TFTheo F.10 June 2026

Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Survived a fall into a canal and a night in a bag of rice

    Cons

The label peels at the corner

    Comment

It went in the water with the camera bag on a towpath and I had written off both. The camera was fine after drying, and the card came up first time with every photo from that morning still on it. Waterproof claims on packaging usually mean nothing to me, but that one I now believe!

  • GDGeorge D.7 June 2026

    Used for: 3–6 months

    Comment

Four stars and the missing one is nothing to do with performance. The card is quick, the capacity is real once you allow for the way computers count, and it has not missed a beat in a bridge camera. But a terabyte at this price on a UHS-I bus is a strange product, and two 512s would have been the sensible buy.
