Came off a four year old Pixel and the transfer cable did the whole lot in under an hour, apps, messages, the lot. The only thing I had to set up by hand was the banking app, which wanted the fingerprint registering again.

Two things sold it over the smaller Fold. The inner screen is wide enough that a spreadsheet is actually readable without pinching about, and the outer one is a proper phone shape rather than the letterbox the earlier generations had. Heat is the surprise: an hour of navigation in a car cradle in July and it was warm across the hinge but never throttled down on me!

Bought this to stop carrying two devices to client meetings and it has done exactly that. Notes open on the left, the drawing on the right, and nobody at the table asks what it is any more. Battery is the honest weak spot on a heavy day of tethering and maps. A year on it still gets me to the train home, but I have got into the habit of a twenty minute top-up at lunch and I would not want to be without it.
