Set it up beside a 240Hz panel to find out whether the difference was real, and swapped between the two with the same game and the same settings until I was sure. It is real, but it is smaller than the numbers make it sound. The step from 60 to 240 changes everything; the step from 240 to 480 is a refinement you feel in fast tracking and nowhere else at all. Whether that is worth the money depends entirely on whether you are the sort of person who cares about the last refinement. I am, and I have not regretted it. I would not tell a casual player to spend this though.

480Hz on an OLED is ridiculous
1440p at 27 inches and no more
Fastest thing I have ever played on, and the sharpness is merely fine
Used for: More than a year
No USB hub and only the two inputs
Two years of competitive play on it and the panel has not aged a day, but the connectivity is bare. Two inputs, no hub, no KVM, so the console and the desktop have to take turns
Used for: More than a year
The tiny stand leaves room for a proper mouse sweep
Stand footprint is tiny, so there is finally room on the mat to swing a low-sensitivity mouse
Used for: More than a year
Built for one job and it does that job better than anything else
As a general desktop screen it is unremarkable
This is an esports panel and it is only fair to judge it as one. At 480Hz on an OLED the motion is so clean that a flick shot feels like the picture is waiting for you rather than catching up, and going back to a 240Hz screen at a friend's house was genuinely disorienting. A year and a half in and the panel is still perfect on a grey slide, which did surprise me given how much time it spends parked on a static menu. What it is not is a general screen. 1440p at 27 inches is ordinary now, the stand is a small tripod affair designed to get out of the way of a keyboard rather than to hold the panel at a comfortable height, and there is no hub of any kind on the back.
