Used for: More than a year

    Pros

Four cards at full tilt with headroom left

    Cons

You will hear the fan at that load

    Comment

Runs a four GPU render node in a rack cabinet and the thing has never once dropped a job. Two thousand two hundred watts means I can load all four cards at 100% and still see the meter sitting comfortably below the ceiling. Fan is audible under that load, but so are the cards, so who cares! A year and a half of that duty cycle and it sounds exactly as it did new.

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Delivers exactly what the label claims

    Cons

200mm plus cables does not fit where 200mm fits

    Comment

Mixed feelings on this one. It does what it says electrically, but nobody warns you what 2200W means for the rest of the build. The unit is 200mm long and my case is rated for 200mm, which turns out to mean 200mm with no cables attached. Half the drive cage came out. Then there is the noise: the fan does stay off at light load, but the threshold is low enough that ordinary gaming has it running, and it is not a quiet fan when it does. Fine for a workshop, wrong for a bedroom. Three weeks in and I have stopped noticing the noise, which is not the same as it being quiet.

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

Plenty left in reserve for a third card

    Cons

Cables are stiff and hard to hide

    Comment

Built a dual card workstation around it and the wall meter never passed 1,400W

  • MFMaya F.17 July 2026

    Used for: 6–12 months

    Pros

1,900W sustained with no droop at all

    Comment

Two things pull this down for me, and neither is about whether it works. The first is a faint whine that appears at very specific loads. Idle is silent, gaming is silent, but anything that hammers the card in short bursts, shader compilation mostly, produces a fizzing sound from the unit itself. Not loud enough to hear with headphones on, loud enough to notice at midnight. The second is the connector layout. The sockets are packed so close together that with all eight PCIe leads fitted you cannot get a finger in to release one. Fitting the last two was a job for a screwdriver blade. What it does well it does very well: 1,900W sustained on the meter with no droop and no heat coming off the case. Ten months of that and the figure has not moved.

    Pros

2200W without needing a server chassis

    Cons

    Heavy

Enormous power in a normal ATX box. No complaints

  • IDIsla D.29 June 2026

Used for: Less than a month

    Pros

Eight PCIe leads and two 12V-2x6, no adapters anywhere

    Comment

Specified this for a workstation that has to drive three professional cards plus a lot of storage, and the connector count was the deciding factor. Eight PCIe leads and two 12V-2x6 in the box means nothing needs an adapter or a split. The caveat is the wall side. Plugged into a standard socket the machine pulled 2,050W during a burn in test and the plug top got warm enough to notice. It works, but I would want a dedicated radial circuit before I ran that all day. One star off for the sheer bulk, it barely cleared the drive cage.

    Comment

Powers a machine that renders overnight most nights and has never faulted, never tripped, never got hot enough to worry about. Boring, in the way I wanted!

  • TWTheo W.4 June 2026

    Used for: 1–3 months

    Pros

So much headroom the fan has nothing to do

    Comment

Overkill for a gaming machine and I bought it anyway, because the next card generation is only going to want more. Sits at 400W most evenings and the fan never stirs!
