Bought for a render node and it has paid for itself already in time saved. The memory bandwidth is the part people underestimate, my scenes load in a fraction of the time they did on a desktop platform, never mind the core count. Cooling it is a project of its own.

Continuous duty in our office and it has not faltered once. Runs at 82 under a full thirty two core load on a big air cooler, which is warm but nowhere near a problem, and that is fourteen months of it. The board and memory cost as much as the processor did, mind.
