Surrounds you can lift off the bar and put behind the sofa
At 140cm it overhangs most sideboards
The detachable surrounds are the whole reason this beat the Bose on my shortlist. You pull two speakers off the ends of the bar, sit them on the shelves either side of the sofa, and they run on their own batteries until you slot them back to charge. For a rented flat where I cannot run speaker cable behind the skirting that is the answer. Two grumbles. The bar is 140cm wide and my sideboard is 120, so it overhangs at both ends and looked daft until I wall mounted it. And the surrounds run flat before the end of a Sunday binge, so you learn to dock them between episodes. Six weeks in, the sub has settled into the corner nicely and the Atmos mix on a decent disc is genuinely enveloping.

Came from a pair of ageing floorstanders and a receiver that took up half the alcove, and honestly I do not miss them. One mains lead for the bar, one for the sub, and the surrounds charge on the ends. The room correction sorted out the boom I always had in that corner. My neighbour through the party wall has not complained once, which the old towers could never manage!
