Anyone choosing between the two sizes should hold both first, because this one is a desk and sofa machine rather than a bed and hammock machine. It is superb propped up and it is a wrist ache held above your face. What the size buys you is drawing room. A full A4 page at actual size with the palette beside it, and a film on the train that fills your view properly. The cellular has been worth every penny for the way it just works when the train Wi-Fi does not. Two terabytes I did not need and bought anyway. Four stars, and the one it loses is all about the weight.

The cellular version costs more up front and then costs again every month, which is worth saying out loud. Eighteen months of paying it and I would still do the same, because the alternative is fiddling with a phone hotspot on a windy platform. Everything else about it has been faultless.

Handed to a five year old with a drawing app for an hour on a rainy Sunday, and handed back in one piece. The case matters more than the tablet at that age, but the screen has survived a great deal of enthusiasm!
