4 months of this and the novelty has not worn off. It is bright enough that the afternoon sun makes no odds, the motion on sport is clean and the picture out of the box needed very little doing to it. The software, though, is the weak part: a pause when it wakes, a home screen full of things nobody asked for, and apps that take longer to open than they should. None of that stops the picture being remarkable for the price.

Nobody needs a screen this big and that is not really the point. It went up on a bracket because no unit we own comes close to the width of the feet, and the room has been rearranged around it since. Out of the box the picture was better than expected: a couple of notches off the sharpness, the smoothing off, and it looks natural. Sport is the obvious use and it is superb. The sound is thin, as it is on everything this shape, so budget for a bar.
