Sounds better on a stream than any USB microphone I tried first
Started with a USB microphone, moved to a cheap interface, ended up here, and this is where I should have started. A proper XLR dynamic through the AG preamp with a touch of the built in compression sounds like radio rather than like a laptop. Four months of twice weekly streams and the only thing I would change is the amount of desk it needs!

Faders have not gone crackly, which I half expected
Wall wart supply rather than bus power
Used most evenings for a year and the faders are as smooth as the day it arrived

Everything a solo stream needs in one box, with real faders
The app decides the routing and it is not obvious how
Replaced a small interface and a separate mixer, which between them needed four cables and a hub. This needs one to the laptop and one to the phone, and the desk is a different place for it. Gain is the headline for me. An SM58 on the vocal used to need everything the old box had; here the dial sits comfortably short of the top with room in hand. The headphone output will drive studio cans loud enough to sing against without any strain. A fortnight in, the two complaints are the app, which hides the important routing three menus deep, and the supply, which is a wall brick rather than bus power. Neither stops it being the best streaming desk I have used, but both are the sort of thing you notice on day one.

Two proper preamps with enough gain for a quiet dynamic
The effects buttons cannot be reassigned to anything you would rather have
Bought for singing streams and it has ended up doing podcast duty as well. The gain on channel one gets a quiet dynamic up to a sensible level with the dial at about two thirds, so there is headroom left for a guest who mumbles. Loopback is the reason to buy it over a plain interface. Music from the browser, a guest on the phone jack, my voice, all balanced on faders and out to the stream as one mix. Took an evening to learn and it has been effortless since!

The compressor and EQ on the mic channel are done in the box
It takes up as much desk as a small keyboard
Church use rather than gaming, running a service to a stream every Sunday. The desk sits at the back with a laptop and a phone, and somebody who is not an engineer can run it because everything you need is a fader or a button. The preamps have enough gain for the old dynamic on the lectern, which the previous box did not. Setup took a Sunday afternoon and it has not been touched since, which is exactly what was wanted!

The preamps are quiet and the faders feel like a real desk
Eight channels on the box, far fewer that are useful at once
The marketing calls it eight channels and it is worth understanding what that means before you buy. Two of them are the microphone inputs, the rest are the phone jack, the stereo line pair, the USB playback and the loopback. Useful, but not eight microphones. Sound quality is not the problem. The preamps are quiet, the headphone out is loud, and the converters are fine for anything a stream needs. What I did not get on with is the app. Half the routing lives in software, the software has to be running, and if it is not then the loopback path silently does something else. For a desk that is meant to be hardware, that sits badly.

Faders instead of knobs, which makes a live stream far easier to ride
The app is essential and nothing tells you that it exists
Streaming from a small room with a condenser and a guitar amp mic, and having actual faders under the fingers changed how the stream sounds. Ducking the backing track while I talk is a fingertip, not a mouse click. The effects buttons are gimmicks apart from the reverb, which is genuinely usable.
Used for: 6–12 months
The routing is only as reliable as the app that owns it
Every driver update on Windows has moved the loopback assignment, and twice mid stream the music has come through on the wrong bus. When it behaves it is lovely, but it does not behave often enough for the money.
Used for: 6–12 months
One button mutes everything, which has saved me twice
Fingerprints show on the black finish instantly
Sat between the microphone and the phone and it has never needed a restart

Faders, gain, record. Nothing else to think about
