Bought on release and it has been the daily mouse since, through a house move and about four hundred hours of one shooter. The clicks are the reason. Set shallow they are quicker than anything mechanical I have used, and because nothing physical is wearing out they feel exactly the same now as they did at the start. That is the bit that matters long term: every mouse I have owned before this developed a mushy left button eventually. Weight is sensible rather than extreme, the shape is the usual safe Logitech one, and the battery does a fortnight of evenings.

The haptic feedback is the party trick and I turned it off after a fortnight, which is not a complaint, just an observation: once the click depth is set where you want it the little buzz adds nothing. What has kept me happy is the consistency. Every click is the same as the last one, at whatever depth you chose, and there is no gradual softening of the left button that every other mouse gets after a few months of heavy use.

The haptic click is the strangest thing to get used to and now I cannot go back. There is no physical switch under the button at all, just a sensor and a little kick, and you can set how deep it has to press before it counts. Odd for a week, but obvious after that.

Excellent mouse let down by one thing: the shape is broad through the middle and if you have small hands the side buttons sit too far forward to reach without shifting your grip. My partner gave up on it and went back to a smaller one, so try before you commit if you can.

Came off the previous Pro and the shape is near enough identical, which was the point. Everything my hand already knew still applied. What is new is being able to change the click depth per game. Shallow for the shooter, deeper for work so I stop selecting things by accident, and it swaps with the profile. Sounds like a solution to a problem nobody had until you use it for a fortnight and then borrow somebody else's mouse and immediately misclick!

Four stars and a long explanation, because this is a lot of money and the marketing does not tell you the awkward parts. The good is real. The inductive clicks are quicker than a mechanical switch and they do not degrade, the sensor has never once lost the plot, and the weight is judged well: light enough to flick, heavy enough to control. The awkward part is that the whole thing depends on software. Actuation, haptics, profiles, all of it lives in G Hub, and if you have ever had G Hub decide it cannot see a device you will know what I mean. It has needed a reinstall twice in the time I have had it, and each time the mouse falls back to defaults that feel wrong. When it works it is the best mouse on the market. It just has more that can go wrong than a mouse with a switch and a wheel.
