Fits a small case and 1440p is easy work for it
No zero-RPM until you configure it
Went in beside a 240mm radiator with room to spare, which was the deciding factor over the longer cards. Frame rates at 1440p are well past what my monitor can show in anything competitive. Only oddity is that the fans idle at a low speed rather than stopping, so the first job is a custom curve with a zero point below 50C.
Used for: 1–3 months
12GB, cool, quiet
Backplate runs hot
Exactly what I wanted for 1440p. Do not sit a drive next to it
Used for: More than a year
Slight coil whine when frame rates run unlocked
Very good card, but I can hear it in the menus
Used for: 1–3 months
12GB and GDDR7 make it a proper 1440p card
The fans do not stop at idle unless you set it yourself
Picked this specifically over the 8GB cards a tier down, and that decision has paid off every time a game asks for a texture pack. At 1440p with DLSS on quality it holds well over 100fps in everything I own, and the 12GB has not been the limit once. The 192-bit bus sounds narrow on paper but GDDR7 covers for it. Under load it sits at 68C with the hotspot around 80C, which for a two-fan cooler in a fairly full case is respectable. The reason it is not five stars is the idle behaviour. Out of the box the fans sit at about 800rpm at the desktop rather than stopping, so there is always a faint hum in the room. MSI Center will set a zero-RPM point but it took a reinstall before the setting stuck. Once sorted the machine is silent, but it should have been silent to begin with. Eight weeks in and the fans have stayed where I put them.

Bought to drive a 1440p 165Hz panel and it has done that job without complaint. DLSS 4 does most of the heavy lifting in the newer titles and the 12GB has meant textures stay on ultra. Fans are inaudible with the case shut. Drivers have been uneventful, which after some of the launch-day stories was the thing I was most worried about.

Cool, compact, and it undervolts without losing anything
Two fans and 250mm of card meant it went into a case that a 5070 Ti would never have fitted. Dropped it to 900mV in Afterburner and it lost nothing measurable while board power fell from 250W to about 205W, which brought the core down to 61C. Seven months on and the undervolt has held without a wobble. Four stars rather than five only because the backplate gets properly hot, hot enough that I would not want it against a drive cage!

12GB is the right amount for 1440p and it stays under 65C
Only two fans, so it works harder than a triple-fan card
Straight into a mid tower, one 8-pin, no fuss. 1440p high settings sit around 95fps in the racing titles I play and the core holds 64C.
Used for: 6–12 months
Cold and fast
Dull looks
Does the job perfectly, looks like nothing
Used for: 3–6 months
Quiet and quick at 1440p
Plain looking card
Does everything I bought it for. Not much to look at though
Used for: 6–12 months
MSI Center is more software than anyone needs
Card is great. The control app is bloatware, set a curve and uninstall it
Used for: 1–3 months
Two fans means more noise under sustained load than a triple
Great performance, slightly noisier than I hoped when it is working hard
