Comes out of the slot hot enough that I have started letting the body cool before swapping. No errors so far, but it is not a comfortable thing to feel.

In a Z8 this card is exactly what you want. 8K raw internal, burst shooting until the card fills, and the buffer indicator has never once appeared. Sustained write measured just over 2900MB/s in the camera's own test, and ten months of hard use later it still measures the same. What nobody tells you is that getting it off the card is a different story. Every reader I own is CFexpress 2.0, which caps at around 1600MB/s, so half the card's ability sits idle on my desk. The 4.0 readers that exist cost almost as much as the card. Four stars for the card, and a warning about the ecosystem around it.
