Went with this over an OLED specifically because the machine sits on a static desktop all day for work and only gets played on in the evening. Seven months on there is nothing to see on a grey test slide, no ghost of a taskbar, nothing at all. It gives up a little in black level for that and I would make the same trade again tomorrow!

Bought as a do-everything panel for a desk that has to cover editing in the day and games at night, and it very nearly is one. Out of the box the colour sat within a whisker of my calibrated second screen, which I honestly did not expect from something sold on its refresh rate. Text is clean, the matte grain is fine rather than sandy, and at 150 per cent scaling it is comfortable for a full working day. The HDR is the weaker half. It gets properly bright, but the dimming zones are large enough that a white pointer on a black background drags a soft glow about with it, and subtitles sit in their own little halo. For games it is fine. For anything letterboxed it nags at me.

Came off a 165Hz panel fully expecting to see nothing, and the difference in a fast shooter was obvious inside a minute. Tracking a moving target is simply easier. Marked down a star only because the stand wobbles when somebody knocks the desk.

Bought after a great deal of dithering between this and an OLED, and for what I do it was the right call. In a fast shooter the gap against my old 165Hz panel is not subtle. Flicks land where I aimed them and long tracking shots hold together instead of smearing into paste. The coating is a fine matte, so the window to my right no longer decides which hours of the day I can play. Where it loses a star is the menu. Every preset I actually want to change lives three levels down, and the joystick sits under the bottom bezel where you cannot see what you are pressing. Five months in I have given up and set one profile I never touch. Blacks are also grey next to an OLED, which you notice in a dark game and nowhere else.

The panel is quicker than my reflexes and the matte finish means the lamp behind me has stopped deciding when I can play. The only fair warning is what it takes to actually push those frames, because at this size and refresh my card is working far harder than it ever did on the old screen.

Replaced a 27 inch 60Hz panel that I had long since stopped noticing, and the jump has been ridiculous. The obvious part is games, where everything now moves like it is running on rails. The part I did not expect is how much better the plain desktop feels. Dragging a window, scrolling a long document, even sliding the pointer from one side to the other, all of it is smoother in a way you cannot unsee once you have seen it. The stand drops low enough for me to sit properly, it swivels far enough to reach the ports without crawling under the desk, and the whole thing arrived square and tight with no wobble anywhere in it!
