Running a 7960X for simulation work and the board has never been the limiting factor, twenty months in. Eight DIMM slots filled with registered DDR5, four cards at full width, and the VRM heatsink stays cool enough to rest a hand on. Budget for a proper sTR5 cooler though, the socket is enormous.
