Storage was the reason for this chassis over the smaller one, and it has swallowed everything we have fed it without complaint. Worth checking what comes populated, though, because the empty bays want caddies and nobody mentions that until the drives are sitting on your desk with nowhere to go

Four months in and it has quietly absorbed the work of the two servers it was meant to be helping, which was not the plan but is hard to argue with. The only rule we have made is that nobody schedules a big job while the meeting room next door is in use, because through a partition wall you can hear it thinking.

Read the specification carefully, because the card in this variant is an entry-level part sitting in a machine that costs more than a car. For what we do, which is databases and builds, that is exactly right, though I would rather not pay for a card we would never wake up. If you are doing anything visual, do not order this one. It will not render, it will not accelerate a viewport, and dropping a proper card in later means checking the power leads before you buy. Everything else earns the five stars. It has been running since March with the fans at a whisper, and a build that used to be a fifteen-minute wait now finishes before I have switched windows.
