Three stars, and I want to be fair about why. The cable works: 4K at 60 from a media box in a cupboard to a projector fifty metres away in a converted barn, and the picture is genuinely lovely. What has cost it two stars is the outer sleeve, which arrived with the printed lettering already rubbed off in patches and a scuff about a metre from the source end that looks like it happened before it was coiled. On a cable that has to be pulled through a building I want to trust the jacket, and I do not entirely. It is also worth saying the plugs run warm to the touch after a few hours. Not hot, not worrying, but warmer than I have felt on a copper lead.

Our church wanted a screen at the front and the desk at the back, and the run had to go under the floor of a listed building where nobody was allowed to widen anything. This is thin enough that it went through the existing gap without a single argument with the conservation officer. Nine months of two services every Sunday and it has never failed to come up. Audio through it as well, which saved a second run entirely!

First job for it was a pub garden screen for a match, temporary run along a fence to a projector in the shed. Up in 10 minutes, sharp all evening, and rolled back up afterwards without a mark on it. That is exactly what I bought it for!

We hire out AV for weddings and this lives in a flight case now. Fifty metres means the projector can be at the back of a marquee and the desk can be by the band, without a repeater sitting in the grass in the rain. Rolled and unrolled maybe a dozen times in two months and it still comes up first go every time. I did buy a proper reel for it rather than coiling it by hand, which I would recommend to anyone doing the same, because fibre does not forgive a tight loop.

Bought two of these for a gym: one to a screen above the treadmills, one to the studio. Both runs are around 40 metres and both came up straight away. The reason it is four rather than five is the bend radius. There is a warning in the leaflet about it and they mean it; I had one corner where the cable had to turn tightly around a beam and the picture went to snow until I made the loop wider. Plan gentle curves.
