A single small drive and no operating system on a machine like this
Five stars for the hardware, with a long grumble about what the builder chose to leave out. There is one 1TB drive in a case with room for four, and no operating system on it. Neither is a fault. Both mean that a machine sold as a finished article arrives needing a shopping trip before you can use it, and the second M.2 slot sits under the card where you have to take the whole thing out to reach it. Ten minutes of planning at the bench would have saved every buyer that. The machine underneath is magnificent. The loop is properly built with no air in it, the tubing runs are square, the fans are matched, and under the heaviest load I can create it is quieter than the fridge in the next room. I would buy it again and simply order a drive at the same time.

Runs anything without the fans ever being noticed
Moved off a machine that had to sit in another room because of the noise, and this one lives on the desk without bothering anybody. Four stars rather than five only because the drive is smaller than the rest of the specification would lead you to expect
Used for: 1–3 months
The thing I did not anticipate is how much it changed what I play. On the old machine I stuck to a handful of titles I knew would run. Now I install whatever looks interesting without a thought about whether it will cope, because it always does. Six weeks in and I have played more different games than in the previous couple of years.

Silence under load that I did not think was possible
Put a meter next to it during a long session out of curiosity and it barely moved off the room reading. Astonishing for something this quick!
Used for: 6–12 months
Cooling that makes the whole thing disappear
The reason to pay for a proper loop rather than an all in one is what happens after the first twenty minutes. Air cooled machines creep up and the fans creep with them. This one finds a temperature and simply stays there, so the noise never changes, so you stop noticing it entirely. Under the heaviest thing I own the processor settles at 61 and the card in the high fifties, and the fans are still at a speed I cannot hear over a keyboard. I would not go back to air on a machine this powerful, though I understand why people balk at the upkeep.

The best looking machine I have ever owned
Needs its own space, it is not a desk tidy
Bought partly on looks, which I would not normally admit to, and it has more than justified that. The white build with the clear coolant and the soft lighting through the front is genuinely striking in a dim room, and the loop is laid out so the tubing runs are part of the design rather than something to hide. It is also enormous. Mine sits on the floor beside the desk because there is no shelf in the house deep enough for it, and moving it is a two person job. Performance is beyond anything I need and I suspect will stay that way for a long while. The only thing I have adjusted is the lighting, down from the shop setting to something a person can live with!

The cooling is everything it claims
One terabyte of storage on a machine at this level
Three stars entirely because of the drive. A single 1TB disk on a build like this is not a specification, it is an oversight. Four modern games and the operating system and it was full, so within six weeks I was buying storage I should not have needed to buy. The machine itself deserves better than three stars. The loop is superb, it is silent, and nothing has come close to troubling it. But the drive is the first thing a buyer will hit.

Still the quietest machine in the house
1TB fills faster than you think
Two years of daily use and the loop has never once needed my attention
